Should the Green Bay Packers trade Brett Favre after this season?
abustos_ab asked:
Even though he had a career year in 2007, I think Brett Favre should start for another team, because Aaron Rodgers, the first-round draft pick from 2005, has proven to be a star, and should be the starter.

Brett Favre will be 39 next season, and Aaron Rodgers will be 25 next season, which makes the real sense.

No, why would they? Aaron Rogers will do what 16 other bakups have done, go somewhere else or stay and wait his turn. They won’t get rid of Brett to make Rogers a starter.
May 28th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
No. He wont be cut loose from GB, isnt he like God up there in Cheeseland?
May 30th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
I think Brett will retire on top at the end of this season. I think he’s got one Super Bowl win left under his belt.
June 2nd, 2009 at 3:27 pm
Sure trade him to the Bears we’ll gladly take him
June 3rd, 2009 at 11:04 am
Why, it wouldn’t make any sense. It would be an insult to everything he did for Green Bay. Besides hes probably gonna play just one more season.
June 6th, 2009 at 5:44 pm
Brett Favre is a Packer and only a Packer. He will never be traded. He is in Green Bay until he decides to retire.
June 9th, 2009 at 7:43 am
No they shouldn’t, and they won’t.
If Brett comes back, it’ll be because he likes his Packers team, he’d probably retire before leaving for another city, learning yet another system, learning another coaches tendencies, etc., etc.
June 11th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
No way, he’ll always be a Packer. Great quarterback and going to another superbowl this year.
He won’t win, but he’s going.
June 13th, 2009 at 2:22 pm
That would be possible the worst move in NFL history and the most unfavorite move in Green Bay. It would be like the Colts trading Manning only worse because the Packer fans are a little more fanatical about their team.
June 15th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Favre isn’t going anywhere.
June 17th, 2009 at 9:04 pm
No the Packers will never trade Brett Favre. Will the Patriots ever trade Brady or the Colts ever trade Manning? I don’t think so. Favre is Green Bay’s QB until he decides to retire from football
June 20th, 2009 at 7:26 pm
How can Rodgers have proved anything? He hasn’t even started a game yet.
June 22nd, 2009 at 3:37 am
They would be stupid!!
Favre still at his age one of the top 5 quarterback in NFL.
June 25th, 2009 at 8:34 am
WHAT ??? I don’t think Brett would play anywhere else, even if the Packers would consider trading him, which I REALLY doubt. I would LOVE to see him win the Superbowl this year and then retire on top like Elway did, IF that’s what he wants. But I think he’s proven he can still play.
June 25th, 2009 at 10:27 pm
Brett Favre will be a Green Bay Packer until he decided he no longer wants to play and if Aaron Rodgers is smart he’ll gladly hold the clip board and learn from Favre until this happens, then he can try and prove if he can fill his shoes.
June 27th, 2009 at 6:25 am
A) why would they trade him, really what sense does that make? Favre is still productive and it wouldn’t surprise me if he retires after this season.
B) Favre wouldn’t go I wouldn’t be surprised to see him stick around to help out Rodgers and make sure he does a good job.
Favre isn’t leaving on anyone’s terms other than his own.
June 29th, 2009 at 1:55 pm
i dont think so!!
July 1st, 2009 at 3:45 pm
No why should they he doesn’t have many years left so why should they trade one of the best qb’s of all time…look at the way he has been playing this season I don’ know about you, but I would keep him
July 3rd, 2009 at 11:33 pm
No they wont trade him, he would not go if they tried, he will probably retire after this season though.
July 5th, 2009 at 3:08 pm
That’s just crazy talk. Why would Favre want to go to another team? Why would the Packers ever want to see him go? There is no conceivable reason for a trade.
July 8th, 2009 at 2:45 am
Favre has had one of his best QB years…If the Packers win the Super Bowl this year, he retires..If not he might have one more year left in him…and i agree with you about Aaron Rodgers…His future looks promising in Green Bay.
July 8th, 2009 at 8:23 am
no he should retire
July 10th, 2009 at 9:50 pm
Thats ridiclous. Aaron Rodgers can sit another three years for all I care
July 11th, 2009 at 5:12 am
Trade him back to his old team, the Atlanta Falcons!
July 11th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
Are you kidding me??
What planet do you live on? Did you just landed here from some parallel universe?? Packers will never trade Farve and Farve would never play for another team, He will play for 1-3 more years. Then Rodgers will get his chance -and if he can show some consistency and patience, he can be a very good QB. But Farve will always be a first choice for Packers, that’s just how it is.
Anyone who know 1’st thing about Packers and football should be aware of that.
